One of my new favorite features of Facebook pages is the Use Facebook As link. On the upper right hand of your page you will see these links:

Use Facebook As

Clicking on this link changes your view to “page” mode. To switch back you can click back on that link or you can find it in the Account menu:

Things you can do in “page” mode

The first change you will see in page mode are the notifications for your page:

In particular it is helpful to see who your newest fans are. This gives you the opportunity to welcome new users individually if you wish. You can also see notifications for latest wall posts and status updates.

Facebook likes

In page mode you can “Like” other business pages. These will appear on the “Likes” section on the left hand side of your page.  Note that liking other business pages serve as a recommendation to those who visit your page. Be strategic about the pages you “Like” from your page.

While in page mode, click on the “Facebook” logo on the upper left and view status updates from the pages you “like”:

When you replay to a wall post while in “page” mode, your logo image and name appears on the status update. This is a great way to increase your page’s visibility on Facebook.

Switching page and profile mode can be confusing but once you get used to it, it can be a terrific tool for seeing what’s changed since the last time you checked and for posting as your business on other pages.

Try it out and let us know what you think!
